Radiating Tgoughts To A Specific Person

precarious Precarious NO. Land of the kaki ...

few days ago I had to install a Red Hat operating system to a customer that uses the modem offered by Tele2:
SpeadTouch 330 silver.

I found a lot of trouble by installing (because of my unfamiliarity with Red Hat), but eventually I did and to be helpful, here is a brief description of what I did.

To install the SpeedTouch 330, you will need:
- speedtouchconf_RedHat.tgz
- ISP Login ID (It is Tele2 on the contract) - ISP password (It is Tele2 on the contract) - VPI / VCI (for Italy and Tele2: 8 - 35)
insert inside this manual is that the Artchive: "speedtouchconf_RedHat. tgz " 2 - Open a terminal window and write (commands to type are shown after the symbols "$>"):

$> cd Desktop / SpeadTouch

$> tar xvzf speedtouchconf_RedHat.tgz

$> Cd speedtouchconf_RedHat

3 - Assicurti that the modem is connected to the computer and check if the ADSL LED is off.
4 - The next command must be run as root. To log in as root type the following command:

$> on
$> "enter the root password"
5 - Proceed with the installation of the modem:
$> sh speedtouchconf.sh

6 - When you run this command you will be asked - VPI, VCI, write it like this: 8 35 - your Login ID ISP - your ISP password 7 - appear the inscription: "These Are correct?" you enter Y
(You should see something like that)

The modem lights should start flashing for 20 seconds...
The modem_run command failed (code 250)
modem_run results:
Failed to load microcode - this is not a problem if you have already loaded the microcode. The microcode can only be loaded once per system boot;
We'll assume that the microcode is already loaded, and
not call this an error.
You may encounter problems, though.
